When we hear this statement we automatically we automatically hear the scripture “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16 ESV). This is true, God loves us and his love for us is unmatched.
God's love is unconditional meaning there are no limits. God's love is limitless. I'm reminded of the story of the prodigal son who left but then returned even though he left and participated in riotous living his father welcomed him back home and loved him as if he never left. The same thing applies with us and our heavenly father. God our father is not mad at you but he is simply mad about you. When we go through certain situations and we experience certain things many ask well how can God love me when I'm fornicating, masturbating, participating in abominable things? God yet loves us! He's yet standing with open arms ready to welcome us back. God's love for us is unmatched, song writer said that we've searched all over and couldn't find anyone that can love us like you. His love isn't selfish, its sacrificial. “God so loved the world that He gave…” He gave his son as a sacrifice, with a heavy price. Our FREEDOM, is what he gave in return. Just another reminder about his unwavering love for us we find in Romans 5:8 “But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Hold on on, don't give up and don't throw in the towel. If you don't know Jesus today as your Lord and Savior, and you have not accepted him in your life. This is the prime moment for you to have an encounter with him. Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.
